‘제(祭)’의 순간으로 승화시킨 무대는
국경을 넘어 깊은 울림을 전했습니다.
다가오는 2025년, 유럽 5개국 7개 도시 투어를
기념하며 국립극장 하늘극장에서 관객 여러분을 만납니다.
<제(祭), 타오르는 삶>은 한국 민속무용인 승무의 리듬과
선율 그리고 ‘제’라는 고대부터 내려온 의식의 의미로부터
오늘을 사는 인간의 고된 노동과 삶을 기리는 공연이다.
승무의 여러 장단을 활용하여 가야금, 거문고 라이브 연주와 함께 한국무용을 바탕으로 창작된 춤 공연으로
전세계적으로도 유일무이한 색채와 매력을 가진 작품이다. 현대인의 일상을 ‘제’라는 숭고한 의식에 빗대어
우리의 삶을 응원하고 위로하는 메시지를 담아
관객과 자연스럽게 공명한다.

<Je_Burnt Offering> is a performance honoring the
arduous labor and life of a person living today,
drawing from the rhythms and melodies of Seungmu,
a Korean folk dance, and the meaning of ‘Je’,
an ancient ritual passed down through generations.
Utilizing the rhythms and various beats of Seungmu,
this dance performance, created based on
Korean dance and accompanied by
live gayageum and geomungo performances,
possesses a unique color and charm unparalleled worldwide.
It naturally resonates with the audience by conveying
a message of encouragement and comfort for our lives,
drawing parallels between the daily existence of
modern people and the sublime ritual of ‘je’.
